TRAUMA & FUN

Ty and Lauren had to go to the doctor. Ty for his exzema, and Lauren for her kindergarten checkup.

Lauren was really nervous because she wasn't sure if this was going to include shots or not. So far, so good.

She shows the doctor how she can jump so perfectly!

She shows the doctor how she can jump on one foot. Oh what balance! (This is actually kinda fun.)

But now she hears that she has to get a shot and the worry and reality set in.

SCARY!!!!

"Oh man, that was overwhelming. But it wasn't as bad as I thought." She got 5 shots.

Ty shows the doctor his itchies.

You did it! We are so proud of you Lauren. You were so brave.

I feel like my children are so unique. I guess going to the doc inspired Ty to be healthy, because here he is eating a spinich and baby green salad with sugar snap peas, broccoli, onions, eggs, and topped with salmon. His drink is straight pomogranite juice. Yeh, he ate the entire thing. He drank all of his juice. The tough guy tat says it all. Who needs "deceptively delicious?"

Lauren is practicing for the big recital. She is doing so well. She has a great time in her dance class with her friend, Hudson.

Patiently waiting for Lauren to finish.

The chicks have been very loved. Perhaps too much. Lauren and Brooklynn love to give them rides in the strollers. Do the chicks love it? Let's just assume that they do.

RIDICULOUS!!!!

My Domain.

RIDICULOUS, RIDICULOUS!!!!

Madeline is such an animal lover.

She is so attached to her chick.

Austin got to hang out with the most mellow dog in the universe. Jax is truly a one of a kind dog.

Valerie hosted a great little pool party for us girls and our kids. It was a great time.

Hudson, Brooklynn, and Larzy. So cute.

Ty looked so cute in his swim outfit. He had already gone poo that day so I took his diaper off. Val cut up a bunch of watermelon, and Ty must have eaten most of it. Next thing you know diarrhea. What a mess. Truly a stinker!!!

AND HERE'S THE LATEST...

Austin has progressed once again to a new belt. The next one he'll be working on is camo. Way to go Austin. We are so proud of him!

His Ninja instructors are proud of him too. They always challenge the students with new goals like treating their parents with respect, and so many other great things. hiy yah!

Austin also recently won his third consecutive pine wood derby race by a landslide.
This is his good friend Gracin.

The car in the center is his. Not only is it the fastest, but also the best looking. What a paint job!

It's name was The Louge.

Thanks to Grandpa Campbell who made it all possible. The pressure was on when Greg told him he had to fly to Arizona with the fastest pine wood derby car in the universe. Needless to say he didn't disappoint. Austin did put the stickers on though. Perhaps that gave the car that extra umph.

The next week Mom (grandma Campbell) and my two sisters (Mindy and Kristin) made the trip to AZ with their sweet kids Campbell and Anna. The Phoenix zoo helped to show them a good time.
But a hot day at the zoo is much better when you can cool off in the water fountains. ahhhhh

I don't think I've ever seen Lauren have so much fun. Isn't she a cutie?

Anna was so brave. She didn't want to be left out of the fun. She thought she was as big as the other kids, and got wet right along with them.

And last, but certainly not least, the chicks are doing fine. They are the most pampered and loved chickens around. I think this picture says it all. I even caught all of the kids one morning in bed cuddling with their chickens and singing them a lullaby. I was so mad, but couldn't help but laugh. It was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen. Of course it was Maddi's idea.

Ty is known as the "Lady Killer" at church. With this face and a suit and tie I think we can all see why. little stinker. We sure love those kids.

THIS SPRING A NEW BLOG HAS HATCHED...

MADDI SAYS: "I like spring because it is beautiful and
its ladybug season, and baby animals are born. Also flowers are blooming."

AUSTIN SAYS: "I LIKE SPRING BECAUSE IT IS WHEN A LOT OF LIFE IS BORN AND IT IS USALLY NICE WEATHER.I ALSO LIKE SPRING BECAUSE IT IS WHEN EASTER IS AND I GET MY CHICK ON EASTER."

LAUREN SAYS: "I like spring because I like the weather. Also the birds sing and it's pretty. I also like to play with my friends. We go really high on the swings and jump off. It's fun."
I love my brothers and sister. "

TY SAYS: "I take my chick out. I threw it down the slide. I also want to say can I have snow? Also mommy can I have a snack? and I'm a pirate. na night, love you."

Lauren is holding her baby chick named butter. She swings with it and loves it. She even takes it to her chicks best friend 'chirp' that lives next door.

Austin named his chick twilight, Maddi named hers midnight, Laurens is butter, and Ty named his chick Turkey-all by himself.

Baskets are easily found.

Candy is eaten at a rapid pace.

Oh man, not cheeps.

Lauren looks cute even first thing in the morning.

Greg shows off his guitar hero talents. (And man is he good!)

"I already have my chick trained. He knows me. I hold him, and he just relaxes."

The hunt is on. Too bad all of the eggs are on the other side of the field.

The 85 degree heat won't even stop them.

We had a wonderful time at the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple. It reminds us of why we really love spring and easter time.

A little easter bunny doesn't hurt.
