LAUREN'S BIG FINISHES.....

LAUREN HAS BEEN VERY INVOLVED THIS YEAR IN HER PRESCHOOL AND HER TAP AND TUMBLING DANCE CLASS. IT ALL CAME TO A FINISH THIS WEEK. SHE IS A SUPERSTAR.

Lauren seemed to actually enjoy being in the spotlight. She has a lot of friends in preschool.

All of the kids looked adorable all dressed up.

Her part was pointing to the nursery rhyme 'Little Miss Muffet'. She picked it herself.

She has such a cute smile. It was great to see how much she's learned this year. I think she is ready for kindergarten.

Jill, her teacher, had a few things to say in front of everyone about Lauren. She said that "she is exceptionally bright. She knows all the answers, but is sometimes reluctant to say them aloud. She loves to read. Very often I see her with a book in her hands. Sometimes she prefers reading to playing with her friends. She was tied for checking out the most 'take home reading books'. She has many friends in class."

WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU LARZY!

(THE RECITAL)

Lauren is sometimes very shy in front of people she doesn't know. I was very impressed that she didn't hold back. She went for it and showed everyone what she had learned without much hesitation.

She had some awesome moves, that's for sure!

Need I say more?

Lauren, and Hudson have been practicing this for a long time. Performance day was no disappointment.

Ty and dad watch. The place was so packed, that there was nowhere to sit. We all had to stand in the back of the room.

Gymnastics and tumbling was Laurens favorite part of dance. The cute teacher always had cute and colorful props. She even taught Spanish to them.

I'm so glad we took the opportunity to have her do this! She really came out of her shell.

Stephanie Meyer, Author of the Twilight series, had a book signing in Tempe, AZ. Her new book she's promoting is called The Host, and is about aliens. I can't wait to start it!

Myself and some friend fans were lucky enough to attend.

I told her she made reading really fun for me for the first time, she said that was a huge compliment.

We waited for our turn for about 3 or 4 hrs. It was worth it though. It was fun hangin' with the girls and fantasizing about Edward.

Twilight is really what got us hooked. It's our favorite.

She answered a bunch of questions about her new book and upcoming ones. She said that she is excited for the movie Twilight to come out. She said she had a little bit of say in parts of it. She also said she may make The Host into a series, but she's not sure when.

We were the oldest ones there, A bunch of thirty-somethings with young high school girls. We didn't care though.

We got all of our books signed, finally, and we're happy as ever. Ready to read-a-way.

Madeline, my talented nature child

Maddi is going to miss her best friend. Her and Lexi have to be apart for 2 whole months while we're gone for the summer.
Here are some cute poems Maddi wrote that are worth some special attention.
My baby brother
His hands are like a velvety feather
His hair is like a smooth cupcake top
His face is like a cute little teddy bear
His voice is like a tiny little bird singing a song
His smile is like the sun rising
The Earth
I see a big black beautiful stallion galloping in the meadow
I hear sweet little baby birds chirping for food
I smell the sweet smell of blossoms blooming on the trees
I taste the delicious taste of cheese pizza
I feel my delightful pizza
My 5 Senses in my backyard
I hear baby birds chirping beautiful songs
I see my little brother getting dirty in the sand
I smell pizza my mom just barely got out from the oven
I taste the chocolate creamy pudding-I almost pass out
I touch Ty's muddy, dirty, gross hands
I Can
I can run as fast as a cheetah
I can hop as high as a bunny
I can learn really fast, I can blow bubbles really big too
I can make great art work
I can find lots of things as well as you
Puppy
Cute, soft, small, playful, curious, loving, barking, funny
Loving him every day
Puppy
A Riddle
I look really tasty, bright, and red
I feel bumpy, squishy, and smooth on the inside
I smell delicious, yummy, fresh, and taste juicy and sweet.
You can find me on vines or a plant
You can eat me anywhere you want, but I would eat 'em at school
What am I? A strawberry

TY WENT UNDER THE KNIFE....

Poor buzz, he just has the stomach flu here, but you can see he isn't pampered or anything.

On May 12th Ty had to have surgery to correct a hernia that he had. He has no idea what he's in for.

He pretty much owns the place wherever he goes. People are attracted to him like a magnet.

He has to be patient(no pun intended) as he waits for his turn. "I want to go home now".

He really likes being checked by pretty nurses.

Ty looked so cute in his little hospital nightgown, and special socks.

The nurses entertained him with toys. Whatever kept him occupied. He was so demanding though. "I'm done with this one now, I need another one."

He called Grandma Campbell to tell her how things were going and that it's almost his turn.

One of the cute nurses entertained him with a bubble machine. He acted like he was too cool for it. I had a great time though. I'm going to have to get me one of those. It was funny though, 'cause it was dripping everywhere, on everything. I could just see a doctor slipping and crashing to the floor all in the name of making sure Ty is happy.

It was so sad seeing his little body all weak and out of it.

The nurse said he was a "rock star" when he went in to surgery. He inhaled that sleeping gas like he loved it. (uh oh) He was so sweet and cooperative. Don't you just want to rescue him? He is so special. I am thankful it wasn't anything more serious. I can't imagine how horrible it would be to have your baby in continuous pain, living in and out of hospitals. I salute them all.

He woke up so out of it. He immediately wanted his IV out and the bandages off.
On his way out, the nurses gave him a build-a-bear and a book. They took great care of him.

Poor little guy.

When we got home he layed on the couch for a while. When he got up his leg was still asleep from the epidural. He collapsed and yelled "I'm O.k." He just kept trying and couldn't figure it out. I told him he had to crawl like a doggie. He was cool with that. Then I went in the backyard for a minute and as I went to open the door to come back in he hurried and locked me out. I was looking through the window yelling at him to unlock it, and he yelled back "no" while crawling across the floor to the barstools. I was helpless. I told him not to climb it or he would fall. He did anyway. I had to run around the house, through the sharp rocks with no shoes on, and through the garage. When I got in, he was sitting on top of the counter stuffing a blueberry muffin in his mouth. ES BUZZES!

Camping and Swimming in the Backyard...

Greg is certainly a man of his word. He said he would set up the tent, and there you have it. It was a Utah Jazz/sleep in tent party night.

The kids are so excited. We told "Bobby" stories. Yes, I know, Ty's my baby and I kinda like his bottle just as much as he does.

Not an ugly one in the bunch.

Ty points out every little thing. No sleep happening with this munchkin around!
The tongue gaping stare comes from his dad. -and uncle Just

Good Times!

Not so good times. Lauren was the first one in. She wanted nothing to do with this. Then Ty (not by choice), then Austin, and then the wind was blowing soooo hard, not only did it sound like the tent would blow over, it sounded like the house would too! Maddi was determined. Not afraid of anything. By herself, in the dark. (Remind you of anyone dad? hint:dark shed, spiders and mice, nighttime, one dollar you had no intention of paying....)
Anyway, she finially came in after a little coaching from her dad.

Just give this guy a year or two and he'll be flexing in these pictures.

We're trying to get it all in before we have to leave for the summer. The water is still pretty cold though.

Graceful Jumping

He Lands it!

Whoa!

Now what would stop me from getting that ball? Where's that kids life vest?!

It is no secret that Ty is king of the hill. We need to find a way to bring him down.
